Come on in!
Welcome to your first individual Immunity Challenge!
This challenge is called...
Poker Hand
And here is how it works...
You will each pick a number from 1 to 11 in your beach chat soon. That number will correspond to a set of 3 playing cards - like these:
Each round you will have to pair up in groups of 5 to form a poker hand. Each player in the group will play one of their 3 cards to form the group's poker hand. As there are 11 of you, each round 1 player will be left out of a group. This player will play a single card hand for the round. The solo player will choose 1 card to play as a "High Card" hand. The winning poker hand (according to standard poker rules) will win the round. Points will be distributed as follows:
Group Solo
1st Place: 3 5
2nd place: 1 1
3rd place: 0 0
For example (suits do not make a difference in this example):
If Group A plays: 10, 9, 7, 4, & 2 (High Card 10)
Group B plays: J, 8, 7, 3, & 2 (High Card J)
and the solo player plays a Q (High Card Q)
then the solo player would receive 5 points and everyone in Group B would receive 1 point. Group A would receive zero.
Another Example:
Group A plays: A, A, 4, 7, 9 (Pair of Aces)
Group B plays: J, 4, 7, 2, 10 (High Card J)
Solo player plays: Q (High Card Q)
Then Group A receives 3 points each, solo player receives 1 point, and Group B receives 0 points.
This challenge will be played in 3 rounds, the first round submissions will be due Sunday at 10pm EST, second round will be Monday at 8:30pm EST and last and final round will be Monday at 9:30pm EST with tribal on Tuesday night.
The player (or players in case of a tie) with the most points at the end of 3 rounds will each win individual immunity!
*No group created can have the same 5 people in it and each group has to be different from other ones created by at least 2 people (meaning the same 4 people cannot be in a group together more than once).
*You create a group by creating a group chat on discord and having everyone privately confirm in their prod chat that they are approving that group. Once production confirms the group was created, then each person will message their production chat and tell production which one of their three cards they are playing that round. Production will not confirm what card each player played, only what hand the group created together once the round is done.
*Once you have played a card, you cannot replay it.
*You cannot send a picture of your cards to anyone. You can, however, tell them what cards you have. You can obviously lie or tell the truth, up to you.
*If a group of 5 is not formed by the deadline for each round, production will randomize the people left out of a group into a group of 5.
*A group will not be accepted by production as formed if it would not allow a second group of 5 to be created based on the player restrictions set out here.
