It's late and I just got off a two-hour call that began as practice and ended as chat. 4 out of the 6 members of Maskorra showed up to practice for the Challenge:
I suspected that this one was stats on the Titanic after the first one, and called it here. We chose to see one more clue, but I was glad I was right.
I liked this group. We got along great. And I have officially smoked both Ricky and RT (whose record I tied in Game Master) in practicing for ConneXTC or whatever it's called. In their defense, they both could have been pretending to be the Mole. But I'm curious to see whether Carlos, Jenn, or Lamont had any impression of me after this. They definitely noticed how well I was doing in practice. I need to learn to tone it down for challenges. This isn't Game Master where I can win out, and especially not from F18.
I have more thoughts on the tribe than I can type up after 1 am, but I have notes that I'll put together tomorrow at some point. For now, let's say that at this point, I'm strongly leaning toward this being my preferred block of 3:
Sure they could be playing me. But I felt good with them AND the fact that they spent 2+ hours on call with me tonight, and had a similar lack of contact with Ben & Nina today, makes me think I can trust them, at least for now.
Full disclosure in defense of Ben & Nina: Ben & I called for like 5 minutes while he was walking to his train but the signal dropped. Nina was going to call me after work but she got delayed, and then the people who were taking my couch showed up right as she was calling me.)
In any event, I still don't have a vote at my first Tribal Council, so my main goal now is to get a bloc of 4 so that the result is, at worst, 3-2. Whether I come clean after TC or take my missing vote to my grave is still TBD.
